Oh you can say what you want about historical significance and rare national treasures etc. etc. The fact of the matter is this ad did attract a buyer, and that same buyer became our client for this restoration job. That same said buyer arrived in our shop with a 160+ year old box of splinters that once was a Stauffer style CF Martin original.

Still it was a box of splinters held together with rubber bands. Wrecked for restoration indeed!
